When I bought my van the previous owner had sealed around the lights and handles with a clear sealant to prevent water ingress. I want to do this again. Do you know what type of sealant this is?

If it is clear sealant then probably silicone which is not really the best stuff for sealing caravans. Polyurethane sealant is better as it is stronger & sticks better. Available in white or black but I don't think you can get it in clear.

I have used Soudal Fix-all crystal clear. Thoroughly recommend it. Even sets underwater !

Try Seal-Once from Henry Shaw and Sons in Birmingham. It's a low modulas non silicon sealant that sticks to anything but doesn't harden so will move with the caravan material as it expands and contracts through the seasons.
