Hi just been away with van for new year and found that battery wasn't charging on checking around found that the fuse had blown but don't know how or why has anyone got any ideas thanks
Fuses blow because they get too hot. This can be caused by too much current passing though them either due to a short circuit (wiring fault) or an overload (plugging too much in)
The short circuit may be a faulty piece of equipment plugged in.
Cheers Jeff I've got a volt reader in caravan which is on a panel for caravan lights, pump, etc will look there and no i have not checked water will do when got chance many thanks
Hi the meter you are talking about on the panel is the battery output. May be worth checking the charging rate ie what's going into the battery by the built in charging unit.
