I hope someone can help please
I have a 2005 Abbey Freestyle and the past year the water from the water heater has been draining back into the water barrel. I've never had this problem before and wondered if anyone could give me any advise. I can't see a non return valve so can't see it being that as it's never happened in the past. Could it have something to do with the water pump ???

There will either be a non return valve built in the water inlet housing or an in line one in the pipe inside the van usually blue colour

There must be a non return valve to stop the water draining back into the barrel. They often get damaged by frost.

As the above said its the non return valve.The valve is usually found just before the hot water tank.Some times a few gentle taps will free it other than that its a new valve on line or from a caravan dealer..

Many thanks to you all, found the valve, taken it out and found bits inside so blown it through and appears to be OK now, only time will tell the next time I take it out
