best advice I was ever given for reversing, look over your shoulder at the trailer and 'steer the trailer'. Sounds odd but is quite natural.
Another piece of advice ... try to reverse straight back into a spot as much as you can, its easier to go straight back (mostly) than to try and get the trailer in at an angle (although can be done with plenty of practice).
I find that motor movers are very handy for getting into tight spots etc but it is also good to get the trailer into roughly the right position first.
Oh, and you'll no doubt get plenty of 'purists' telling you that a motor mover should never be used and that everyone should be able to revers like an artic driver - I say ignore them and do what you are comfportable with, better to use a mover than damage your van/trailer and someone elses!
And, yes a MM is a fantastic investment!
