Hi everyone hoping i could get some better tips about removing nail glue from draylon sofa. We have had our Avondale argente 2 years now, and and my daughter spilt nail glue on the sofa...smoke was comming from the sofa, did what i thought was right blotted,put ice, tryed scraping,tryed the nail polish remover, even the wd40, nothing is working. I so hope i dont have to spend money on re-upholstery.Does anyone have any other tips. Pleeeaaase.

since most nail glue is Cyanoacrylate aka superglue

chances are its goimg to be beyond redemption especially as you say it "smoked" meaning its reacted with fabric and or foam exothermically

you could try acetone nail varnish remover

but think its time to find a furniture repair company might be worth asking your caravan dealer or local furniture shop if they know of a smart repair company

do you have a cushion in the same fabric as the seating?, if so then remove the back of the cushion that has the pattern as close in colour and pattern to the area you are wanting to fix, and then just sew a contrasting backing so you can carry on using that cushion, then with the square you have match up the fabrics and cut out the damaged area in a very neat square, then cut a piece of the ex cushion fabric into a square slightly larger and then using fabric glue stick in place, allow to dry then carefully oversew around the edges of the square to secure it better. if any of the foam from underneath is damaged cut that out also and replace the foam before glueing anything in place.

I did this for someone that had burnt a tennis ball sized hole in a very visible area of seating, when I had finished you couldn't tell anything had happened to it, they had been looking for a replacement seat cover and hoped to get the same pattern from somewhere, which had been impossible for them, it took me about 3 hrs to do but was well worth it when you saw the results
