Hi, got back today after a weekend in our 91 Swift Corniche 14/2, our first caravan bought last August, previously had a Conway camper.  We love this van but have noticed the floor is springy and creaking in the area by the kitchen which is at the side and the oven is not getting very hot (grill and hob are OK).  Would prefer to let someone else service the van and repair the floor.  Is there anyone out there who knows someone reliable and reasonably priced in our area.  We wouldn't mind if we had to go 20 miles or so if good recommendation, or does anyone know of a mobile servicer in our area.

We were thinking of trading it in for a newer model but after reading threads on this site (you're right its very addictive) would prefer to keep this one as it has been well looked after and no signs of damp etc.  Would appreciate your views on this too.  Thanks

Hi Lyn sorry cant help you with a local service agent but if its any help one of the problems I had with my Lunar caravan (see earlier post) was springy creaking floor. We thaught it may be delamination but luckily it turned out to be the fixing bolt (actually log coach bolts) that bolt the floor to the chassis had come loose and needed tightening up.

Hi Easywanderer, thanks for your note.  We have booked in for a service now and mentioned the floor.  They are going to check the van and let us know.  Fingers crossed it will the problem you had and not delamination.
