Recently bought a Swift Challenger 380 with Alde Compact 3010 heating. When the heating has been on for about half an hour 'Overheat red fail' fault message shows on control panel. According to the operating instructions to reset, it advises me to disconnect 12v from boiler and reconnect. Can anyone elaborate on what this involves ?
Have you found out why it over heats? Is the header tank ok for water and the pump runs ok, As for reset. might be easier just to take a lead off the battery and unplug the EHU for a min.

Its not a hangover, its wine flu!
I have found talking to Alde UK can be very informative. In my experience they are very helpful. The boiler is a very expensive item, not one to be getting things wrong with, and overheating is into serious territory.
Thanks KarlFritz, Bill Terry and JTQU for your replies, however the problem was solved by the service manager at Highbridge Caravans who talked me through the proceedure which involved quite a complex number of actions. The problem has been resolved and hasn't returned.
