I have a small black fuse holder near battery box inside caravan that blew a fuse .I changed the fuse but the wrong amp in,smoke came from behind my fridge so I turned electric off.when I checked fuses they had melted.I have checked wiring behind fridge panel and can't see any melted wires,I'm really worried pls help.thank you phil
If your caravan fridge is usual 3way type & you are talking about 12v circuit from battery then nothing to do with fridge. It only works on 12v from car while towing.
Its sounds as if you have a 12v electrical fault, if fuse blew & you presumably replaced with fuse of higher amp rating yes? Then circuit that was previously protected by fuse has now burnt out? Something has gone faulty & is causing this so you need to check all through 12v system. Was caravan plgged into mains ehu with battery charging at the time?
