We have a swift charisma 545, year 2003. When we turn the water taps on the water trickles out of the taps but most of it comes out of an overflow pipe from the truma water heater and runs out of the pipe outside the caravan, This happens when both the hot and cold taps are turned on. Has anybody got any suggestions as why this is happening. We have tried numerous things but can not seem to rectify the problem. Incidentally the first time we noticed the problem was after we had used the gas to heat the water instead of electric,

This isn't the drain pipe is it, used to empty the heater for winter or when towing. There should be an inline 2 way tap near it.

If it's coming from the clear pipe connected to the hot water outlet? then the common problem is the valve in the connection is faulty.
First, the clear pipe connection itself should be vertical and the pipe then bend down and through the floor, if that's not the problem so does not cure it?, simple fix is use a pair of molegrips or similar and clamp the pipe where it goes through the floor.

Thing is, this pipe is to allow air direct into the tank for quicker draining, it serves no other function

So is there a one-way valve in the elbow where the clear breather pipe connects to the tank inlet?
