I have hard bubbles appearing on the front panel of my caravan around the Windows and across the locker. Some of the bubbles are bigger than others they almost look like a rash. I have no water ingress but is this condition going to cause this? Any ideas what this is and what I can do about it?

I'm no expert, ut have heard that bubbling is delamination. Someone with more knowledge may say otherwise!

if they are too bad you grind them out and re-finish them.. if not leave them alone..

boats can suffer from it.. its a bit more important with boats.. he he

Thanks David I've now looked up osmosis and as Trog it does affect boats so obviously more important. But if I leave alone will they eventually let in water or is it just a cosmetic thing when regards a caravan?

Osmosis is tiny droplets of water between the gell coat ei the white finish and the glass matting which over a very long time in the case of a caravan will get bigger, in the case of a boat it is a lot more serious but unless it bothers you I would be tempted to leave well alone as to rid your van of it would take a lot of doing and quite a bit of expense or experience.
On boats if it is really bad they use a machine with sharp cutters to slowly cut the gell coat off then it is a case of drying the grp off then recoating it and finishing it. In your case it would be grind the gell off hoping you don't drive the water droplets deeper then drying out and either recoating with gell coat and rubbing down with wet and dry then polishing or painting with two part epoxy.
   So unless you want to keep the van for a very long time or want a showroom finish I would look the other way and just live with it.

Thanks David for that very informative answer. I think we will leave it alone, but I may get a quote from the caravan medic mobile service that is in our area but I can appreciate it will be expensive and at the end of the day the caravan is 15 years old and in every other respect it is just perfect, damp free, good condition and everything works

Bare in mind that it will NOT let water in unless it looks catastrophic and holes start appearing which I doubt will happen before the caravan is another fifteen years or more old.
