Hi all .i have purchased a bailey Vermont 2000 with the idm3 alarm system.it has no charger.im also guessing the battery is dead.just be very helpful if someone has the correct info at hand for a charger and a battery.ie type and place to buy them

Usually 12 volt 1.2 amp hrs battery obtainable from lots of places, Ebay, Alarm Shops. Have you got the instructions for IDM 3? I have copies if required

Hi yes I have the original booklets.ive now taken he battery box out.but will need to drill out the rivets for access

Be careful when drilling out pop rivets, I touched a circular capacitor which was replaced, battery is sometimes stuck with double tape and a riveted hold strap.

Hi I purchased a battery at screwfix nine pound and pence.i got the alarm working.however the siren sounds like a squeaky duck.ive found another so that's next.yes the battery was well stuck.i drilled the rivets with a 1/4" bit just using my hand.tricky but safe.
Only thing I'm not sure of is the sensor.should it have a red light or not

Not sure about a red light as my alarm does not have any lights. I have replaced my alarm battery twice and requires replacing again.
