We have a Bailey Pegasus and the LED for the trailer control is not lighting up green.
I plug in the electrics, the LED lights red, the ATC goes through its self-test and makes all the right noises as it arms, the RED light goes out but the green does not come on.
When this first happened, we were in a hurry to get away and I did not check for a red line on the push rod beneath the van as the system sounded as though it was working normally. Assuming that the green LED has failed, I towed it in this condition for some 150 miles and all seemed perfectly normal.
I can get a new LED lead from Bailey (about £32 including postage) which may or may not 'cure' the fault. I could also remove the push rod and disarm the system but I would rather it was working correctly.
I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar issue.
There are quite a few which have failed. The one on my 2013 Swift failed last year and replaced under warranty. My dealer gave me a new one to fit myself,( 5 minute job, connector under front of van) and i took the old one back to him.He had several in his stock of spares as the are so common failing.
Yes a know fault with these. Our van was just over a year old when it went, bought one myself and changed it no problem.
All your system under the van will be working, it's only the LED at fault.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I had an intermittent fault like yours on my Bailey just as we were hitched up & ready for the off. Frightened the life out of me in case the thing activated at some point. Yep, simple plug-in replacement unit solved the lot.
