ive just baught a 1988 autoquest, from a dealer, after two weeks ive started to notice the paper coming of the ceiling right accross the ceiling from the door to the other side each side of a pannel join, its gone soft to touch and the paper has come away, there seems to be a soft patch on the other side by the storage units, ive tried to find the leak but is it possible to fix or replace the ceiling ? do i have any rights to get the dealer to fix it ? this is my first motorhome and i paid full price at 6000, iv found a couple of blinds dont roll down but my worry is the ceiling, any advice on any part will be very greatfull...

I presume you got a guarantee with it ?
If its still under this take it back and tell him to fix it.

With what ive learned he has sold you some thing which is not fit for the purpose it was meant for.

Take it back to him and ask him to fix it if,he refuses send him a registered letter telling him of your intention if it is not fixed or does return your money you will take him to court.

During this time report him to trading standards and take pictures of the damage and keep all receipts.

You will have to go to a small claims court with him and if the judgement goes in your favour he will have to give you back your money or fix it.

If he refuses to compensate you then take him to the sheriffs of the court as for a fee of just £60 they will take an action against him to recover your losses.

I feel myself he has known about this problem when he sold you it and you have been done.

Im not a lawyer but this is the way i would get my money back, perhaps some one who is better versed in the law will come along and help you..best of luck.
