usually if a fridge is not perfectly level it will not work on gas. maybe burners need cleaning. Get a mobile caravan service engineer to look at it.

I get my parts from Jacksons also. You can usually show them something and they will have one or have an alternative.
It will take a while to cool on gas, The best check is the freezer box, You will feel the difference there before the fridge starts to cool.
As mentioned also, How level is it, I think its only a 5 degree tolerance to get the best from them.
