I have a 1990'2 Gruau caravan (French) which I use as a workroom/studio. An off course golf ball has smashed the large rear window and I am at a loss to find a replacement. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
Depends how much you want to spend. You can get new window made using broken one as patten but cost several £100s. Otherwise try caravan breakers but unlikely with French caravan unless window off another make is same size.
Thank you for your help. The window is Perspex and its a double glazed unit. From the outside the window measures 59inches across by 28.75inches down and on the inside it is 58 inches by 27 inches. I don't think the vans are manufactured any more and I know they are French. I have seen many sites in connection with them but they are all in French!! and my school-girl French isn't that good (besides being a long time ago :)) !!) The van is used purely as a studio and is static so weight isn't a problem.
Best wishes and thanks
"Bugger" doesn't even cover it!!!! I am so sorry but thank you so much for your time. I am thinking that tomorrow I might visit a local double glazing factory to see if they can help (?) Do you have a Gruar? Mine wasn't bought because of that but they are so cool!! Thanks for your help
Best wishes
Yes - got a claim in. The second since April!! Rory McIlroy might be from near here but, boy, the players at our local club are way off! We bought a new to us caravan in April, brought it home on the Thursday and had the large roof light smashed on the Saturday!! Can't tell you how many roof tiles we have had repaired and the best of it is - neither of us plays ha ha!!
Thanks for your help
best wishes
