Just been away for the weekend and found that the flush pump doesn't work. The fuse is good, and the lights dim slightly when the flush switch is operated, indicating that the pump is drawing an electrical load. I want to replace the pump but can't see how to access it.
If anybody has experience of changing one of these pumps I'd be grateful to hear their suggestions. I'd take it back to the dealer as the motorhome is still under warranty, but we're off for a fortnight soon and probably won't have time to get it done by the dealer.
Peel the sticker off the top with the push button, remove control panel and pump comes out of the top. If sticker will not re stick you may need a new one obtainable from dealers or Internet.
I realise your post is a couple of years old but wow was it helpful.
My Bailey Pursuit Plus is just three years old and the toilet flush pump decided to cease functioning on the fitted Thetford C262CWE. I knew it would be a simple matter of turning the impeller to get the thing up and running again - but where is the flippin pump. Tried Thetford and downloaded what they claimed as pump access, wrong - Bailey were as usual as helpful as a broken shoelace. Searched every possible place, even in the overhead lockers just in case the pump gremlin had nicked it.
After searching the trusty interweb thing, I found your response and within five minutes - job done.
Thanks so much and hope you are still out there helping us oldies.
My c200 stopped working two weeks ago. I had not had an electric flush before. The fuse in the cassette locker was ok. I went onto Thetford website and found out how to get to the pump. I levered to top off easily, unscrewed and pulled out the pump. Someone had done a botched repare job with electric blocks and stuck them into the rubber around the switch. Water had got to them so they were all rusty. I undid the wires and put the +/- wires from the fuse line to the pump and it worked so not the pump. Checked the switch and found the connectors faulty.
Paid £25.94 for a switch kit and followed an instruction video on Thetford website, covering the wire connections with heat shrink tubing in kit. Proper job should last until pump gives out.
Fred.
Note. If your thetford toilet is not C200 the method above is probably similar?
Advice. Buy used caravan with push flush not electric.
