Been over the van, and have noticed the seal between the cassette and bowl seems to be 'gripping' on each other, also the blade seems also to be stiffening too (related??).
So, is there something I can lubricate them rubber parts without ruining the rubber??
Did a search first but nowt came up, so I'm now asking here...
That's what I used June this year after putting a new lip seal in the toilet it was a little stiff, always have a can of silicone spray in van also handy for awning zips
Its something that needs to be done on a regular basis imo.
I use cheap olive oil, just because I have used it before silicon sprays were available but both will do the job.
I put a drop on the blade and operate it back and forth a few times as part of the routine van cleaning after every trip.

WD 40 will do its got silicon in it .
From WD-40's website FAQs: "While the ingredients in WD-40® Multi-Use Product are secret, we can tell you what it does NOT contain. WD-40® Multi-Use Product does not contain silicone, kerosene, water, graphite, or chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs)."
WD40 NO NO NO,I used it on my water pump connectors and it rotted the rubber seals, silicone is the way to go,I use it on my toilet blade with good results
