My plastic rail inserts have shrunk orhave been cut short by previous owner. (1st year owning a caravan)

Where can I get new ones.

I have 4 rails on the side of my caravan
From top to bottom

Awning rail with insert of around 11 or 12 mm

Above windows (11 or 12 mm)

Under window (30 -40 mm) flimsy plastic

Bottom of caravan - a thick plastic strip

I can seem to find anywhere that sells the under window and bottom of caravan seals

Can anyone direct me?

I don't even know what they are called?

Thanks

The trim hasn't being cut short, it shrinks with age.

Wish my waist would also shrink with age

Hubby recently replaced all of our trims too as the UV rays on it over the 9 years we've had the tin tent had made it shrink and crack. He was given a tiny sample by our caravan shop where our storage site happens to be, to see if it was the correct size before buying a whole roll of it.

Sorry, I don't know the dimensions of it but can say that Ellie looks like a bright young thing now and we're hoping that once he's given her another good wash and brush up that she won't suffer any further UV damage IF he finally covers her in the thing we bought for the job........ last year!

You could take out the old strip. put it in some warm water and re stretch it. it will strech on re fitting. When you re fit it put a small srew in under the end cap. Fit from one end to the other and then fit another small screw. These will stop it pulling back. If you dont want to use screws then try a small amount of glue just to hold the ends in place.
