Hi have recently bought an Abi viceroy jubilee and the key Will not go in the lock all the way we can't unlock it to change the lock and ideas please xx
I would try squirting some WD40 in lock and leave to soak a while. I had this on a previous van and it worked.I think you will find it is one of the tumblers in the barrel stuck.I now lubricate locks on my vans regularly.
Can you not gain access via a window to unlock it from the inside, on a site once a lady locked herself out that's how I got it open for her, a kitchen item can be used easily
Check the key isn't bent or kinked, caravan keys bent very easily. Try another key if you have one. If the key is bent or kinked straighten it gently in a vice. Otherwise spray a little WD40 in the lock and then try inserting the key gently with little stabbing motions trying to push it in a little more each time.
Push the door inwards as you try to turn the key to take the load off the lock.
Thank you everyone for advice The barrel had collapsed in the lock but we broke the lock to get in and replaced it for only 15pounds from a breakers yard so all good in the end xx thank you xx
