I have a tourer caravan which is stored in an indoor lockup. What doi need to check/empty etc to caravan last time we use it before storing away for around 6 months?
Being stored indoors your caravan will be protected by the eliminates. My van is stored outside and this is what I do.
Drain down water heater and ensure all water is drained from the pipesite and leave tapes open.
place moisture traps inside the van
ensure the fridge door is open and freeze box door is open
drain down the toilet and I leave the blade half open.
make sure waste water and aqua roll are empty.
Disconnect battery
lift cushions and ensure there is plenty space for air to circulate around then.
make sure all windows are closed.
If storage allows I would take wheels off and sit on axle stands or similar.
It would take pressure off the suspension and prevent flat spots on the tyres with sitting for so long without moving..
Handbrake off as well even if not on axle stands, just use wheel chalks. It won't be bothered by wind etc as its indoors so it won't move.
Might seem over the top but well worth the effort, 6 months not moving is a long time.

Vango I read somewhere that the axel isn't designed to take the wright of the caravan apparently it can bend over a period of time. There are metal plates you can get that you put on the hub in place of the wheels. Just watch your insurance though cause they might state there must be a wheel clamp fitted.
I did think it was a little on the early side. However the OP may just be getting ultra prepared so they are ready to close their caravan up in a few months time. Or they may just not be able to get away again now until next year.

I think if its supported on the right part of an Alko chassis it is ok. I have done it on occasion for long periods of storage in the past, as the OP is going to do.
Would be good to know for sure?
You are probably right regarding insurance issue, suppose it would depend on what they require as you say.
Would also depend on security if any at storage site?
Yes I am familiar with the winter wheels as they call them.
