We are currently trying to remove some old stickers from our caravan we just brought so we can put the new stickers on. We got as far as getting the top layer off with a hair dryer and credit card but there are still a fair bit of sticky stuff left on and advice what to use to remove?
The previous owner of our 2013 Lunar put grotty sticky backed hooks in all sorts of places (wouldn't have minded so much if they'd been on straight!) and I am slowly working through removing them all.
I use a 'Sticky Remover' from HG products. It works absolutely brilliantly but the fumes are absolutely evil - goodness knows what's in it. DO NOT breathe in more than you have to and work in a well ventilated place. And the obvious caveat of try it on an out-of-the-way place first in case it takes off more than you want.
Are these exterior emblems?
The adhesive technology is likely to be solvent based, if that is indeed the case then a solvent based adhesive remover should do the job. Please be aware that the remover could damage the paint work lying under the adhesive, the tip is work fast, apply and remove as quick as you can then wash down with soapy water. If on the other hand the adhesive technology is water based then you could try paint brush cleaner designed for solventfree paints. In any case try on a concealed area to make sure no damage is caused to the paint.
good luck
