checking my 12s system with a test socket ,all was fine, but i noticed that my permanent live light was on with the engine stopped, i started the engine and the light went out fridge and earths fine--not sure if this is correct----my van is a 2000 lunar
ok so when the car's engine is running how does it charge the caravan battery, if the green wire is live feed and red wire is fridge plus black and white earths there is no other wire to carry the current to the battery???
Pin 4 is inside lights etc and battery charging. There should be a habitation relay in the caravan which senses if the engine is running. If it is battery charges, if not lights work.
Pin 6 is fridge which only works when the engine is running an that is sensed by a relay in the car.

The caravan relay does it, there is no battery connected when the test circuit is plugged In so there is no relay to close and charge the battery.
