I posted a mote detailed outline of my situ but haven't had an answer so I just went on ahead and have stripped what I could
I live in a rural part of nireland. I need to know what kind of wood to get to create new struts at the back corner as my vans have rotted to pieces also is there a type of ply and weight I should get and do you hard wood paint it over both sides
And I pulled up the wood around the edge of the floor and under the door what is best to get for that and when you put the ply on do you use just no nails glue or what nail,or screw do you suggest please
Finally I pulled off the black rubber seal at the door will it be ok to put back on?
Use ordinary softwood, pine, it's easiest to work with. To glue everything together use good exterior grab glue like Evostik Serious Stuff. You will need to seal exterior of caravan to prevent water getting in though. Use PU sealant for that. Search PU sealant on Amazon. PU 18 is as good as any.
Thanks open source
And in terms of the ply, I haven't taken off the very top part where the top cupboards are as its part of roof and I have never more difficult diy than fixing fairy lights or erecting Ikea furniture, though I have managed to create the transformer transformations for the kids where brothers and hubbie failed.
So I'm.determined, but nervous of my ability.what is the, ply, weight, type I should, ask for and could I slot it over the top bit, do people replace just a section rather than the whole wall, I know I cant take the cupboards down successfully. It will be a struggle enough to put the bunks back up.
