Hi guys, I have a slight problem with condensation in our caravan, the guy who had it before us bodged a skylight fitting and as this doesn't leak I'm pretty sure some else is wrong as there is still water dripping down by the sky light? I have resealed the outside of the sky light so I know that it's not that. And he has replaced a lot of the roof (3mm ply wood and polystyrene) and between the wood and the metal skin of the caravan is where the condensation is coming from. Is there a way to stop this or do I have to rip out the roof and start again but stick the wood to the metal? Thanks in advance.
It's a new skylight so I'm sure the screws are fine, I did check them to make sure. I think your right about sticking the wood to the metal as it's not stuck to it at the moment ? Might take out all the guy did and do it properly. Any adhesive I should look out for or should I just use the adhesive you can get in a spray can from b&q? I know the polystyrene is new. We have 3 windows open on the mid setting as well as a dehumidifier running when were not in the van. I noticed a drip from the skylight so I took the inner casing off to find a wet patch on the wood so I pushed it and some water came out. Thanks for the reply guys.
