Hi All,

Advice needed if you can please.

Caravan:- 2004 Sterling Eccles Opal

We have an ESM2004 charging unit, it seems to be fine in itself. However, the 12v switch above the door where the switches are located for the pump, lights etc seems to do nothing. We have 12v all the time UNLESS I go to the ESM unit and turn it off there.

The 12v above the door IS connected from what I can see.

How does this switch work? What tests can I do? Someone mentioned a relay in this circuit?

Any advice would be great!

Many thanks

John

I have 12v working no problem.

I cant turn the curtsey switch off, the 12v stays live unless I turn off via the ESM unit.

Sounds like it's a faulty switch to me. Easiest way to test if you can get to the connections is to use a multimeter on the back and see if the readings drop or if you don't have a multimeter, disconnect the switch and plug the connections on to another switch in the panel to see if it then switches the 12v on and off.
