Hi,

I would like to replace the in-line Whale pressure switch with a pressure control switch, which is attached to the inner wall. How easy / straighforward / difficult is it to do? Can the original pressure switch remain in place or do I need to install a new length of pipe?

Just leave the wires off it, water will still pass through it but it will just not switch anything.

Thanks birdman. The van is fitted with a Carver Crystal mk2. If I changed it what would you recommend, Truma ultraflow conversion or Whale watermaster with an intelligent controller? I think it is on a pressurised system, cos i can't see any wires coming down from the taps & it has the inline switch. Thanks Eddie

The watermaster has its own pressure switch and with the intelligent controller will switch the pump off if your aquaroll runs out which would be my preference. The two wires on the existing pressure switch will need joining together.

I thought the 2 wires on the pressure switch would be used for the IC on the socket, or am I being a div?

Your existing inlet will have two wires on it feeding the pump when it is connected these being positive and negative.These wires will need to be connected to new inlet with its own pressure switch.The two wires on the existing pressure switch are the positive feed and they switch the pump on and off.These two wires need taking off and connecting together to give permanent supply to the new inlet.

Hi. Thanks for the info. I have just googled the carver 2 & saw the wire connection. Looks as if I need to crimp a couple of spades on to connect to the Whale system. Thanks again. As a side note my partner's son & daughter live in Emmerson Valley & Walton.

We were both born in the area and have seen Milton Keynes developed from day one when the underground sewers were tunneled through and the first roads were built.All the fields we played in as children are now history.Our daughter lives in Furzton the next estate to Emerson valley and granddaughter works Emerson valley.
