We have a Fleetwood Heritage caravan and my dear husband has broken one of the windows. I have no idea where to begin to find a replacement one. I know that Fleetwood is no longer in existence. Do I call a local caravan spares shop? Would they be able to help? Or do I need to take the van to a repairs place? My hubby would prefer to fit it himself if possible. I really don't know where to start with this so any advice/help would be much appreciated, thanks.
You can have a new one made using old one as a pattern. This place. Removal/refitting is usually easy, undo window stays, lift window up towards the vertical & it will lift out.
As stated previously by Opensauce, if a new window is needed contact eeco. I had one made by them a couple of years ago. You certainly won,t find better service and I very much doubt anyone else would match their price.
Fit new one myself but now it will not stay in groove in aluminium/rubber hinge strip. Cannot get it fully inserted and frightened I may crack or break it. Any tricks on doing this?
Thanks for all your help. No luck locating a second hand one so looks like a new one from ECCO is our only option but at £300 it aint cheap!May have to consider checking with our insurance to see if we can claim on that and pay the policy excess. If I see hubby go anywhere near the caravan with the hedgetrimmer attached to his tractor again then it's off with his head.
I know this is an old post.... but I too have a Fleetwood heritage where both side windows were broken on either side due to my son throwing a stone for our dog it smashed through one side went straight through and out the other after weeks of searching on here and a kings ransom phone bill I had resolved to going to Eeco as suggested by someone on here thing is they quoted £419 each so on a last ditch look I went on eBay and found these people http://sfmcaravans.co.uk I messaged them on eBay and got a link to their website I got both matching windows for £360 delivered next day well packaged they have a vast stock of windows for all caravans both older and newer models plus anything else you could need for repair or replacement in your caravan they are also friendly and helpful quick and efficient so I suggest whatever you are looking for start your search here
