hi all ,well been very busy this last week,s decorating lol .so this week been doing the brakes on my bailey pageant champagne 1995 .when i bought the van ,i was towing it home the brakes drove me crazy screaming like hell,so Monday gone ,me & a friend got stuck in them ,the brakes were full of dust ,and looked like they had never been done , one side was braking ok the other side was stiff,so cleaned all the brakes with brake cleaning fluid ,sandpapered the drums and shoes ,,then adjusted them ,one side took 20 mins the other side ,to ages to get it spot on with the adjuster ,was gonna test it this week by running it around th estate ,fingers crossed they will be ok ,but then i noticed the damper seems a little soft ,i could push it fully in with one hand ,been to see local caravan shop ,he told me if you can do that ,then your damper is no good ,so gotta do that.so today i stripped the Alko off ,undid the bolts that hold the damper in ,went to pull the damper out from the back of hitch i was coming out so easy then it got to the bigger roound bit ,and wont come out ,somebody told me to take of the metal plate ,that sits on top of the damper ,as there are that many different types of damper ,we supposed to be going on our first trip a week on Friday ,so more work grrrrr
------------- when you reach the crossroads ,get the sat nav out
