Hi all,

It was indeed the battery that was dead. I will remove in future for winter storage.

Normal situation is:

Plugged into car with engine running - fridge will work if switched to car, battery will charge. None of the other internal 12 volt equipment will work. The voltmeter will read 0 Volts.

Plugged into car with engine not running - all the caravan internal 12 volt equipment will work from the car battery and not the caravan battery. The voltmeter will indicate the voltage of the car battery.

Not plugged into car - all the caravan internal 12 volt equipment will work from the caravan battery. The voltmeter will indicate the voltage of the caravan battery.
