Hi all, hoping someone can get the gist of what im talking about.
I have a Abbey 214 GT 2 birth,1989 it has a pole in the wardrobe that is pushed up (when on site) so the external areal can be raised or lowered and turned in the direction required. The problem i have is the roof????not sure what its called where the pole passes through to the areal itself, i have a leek and water runs down the pole into the wardrobe (all be it small leak.) I have taken this roof part to bits and there are two seals in this plastic whatever its called that should seal round the pole allowing it to be moved up and down, these seals seem to have perished somewhat, there are two plastic rings with a rubber edge. Can anyone give me the name of this roof whatever its called that the pole passes through so i can try find a replacement......Thanks for any help.
I have just had a similar problem with a leak down the middle of my mast. Search Vision plus and find the contact us details. I phoned their customer support who were really helpful and also supply spares directly.
Thank you very much for your help, i think what i have is slightly older. The part on the roof has two large jubilee clips holding what looks like a rubber boot (something you may find on a drive shaft on a car?? but it does look like it "is" a caravan part as it fits perfectly round the mast. Thanks again, will have a look at your suggestions
Maybe the previous owner has just used this as a DIY temporary solution to repairing the leak as the description doesn't sound like it's an original part.
Is the aerial a 'Vision' brand? If so then there should also be a model number which may help in identifying the correct replacement part you need.
