The floor by my sink noticibly drops when stood on, nearly every forum suggests this is caused by delamination. When I look under the van the floor sags when walked on. I know a fair bit about diy, I understand the construction of the laminated floor, granted I'm no caravan expert but I can help thinking in my case the floor needs some sort of additional support from the underside. Look forward to any advise, was thinking of a sheet of ply screwed and glued under the affected area.

We bought a kit off eBay which consisted of 8mm wooden dowels ? And some sort of green resin/glue ? My husband drilled holes 1 inch apart all around affected area (used a drill guide so not to go straight through bottom wood) only want to go through top ply into insulation layer) he then syringed resin into holes znd hammered in wooden dowels. Scraped any over spill flat and we have left it to dry !!! I can let you know the results when I'm down Tuesday (kit was £15 on eBay)

The floor is supported by the chassis from underneath. I believe the correct method is to insert the dowels just enough to block the holes. I bought long lengths of dowel and tapped them right through to the bottom layer in the hope that it would give better support.

Rather than replace the carpet I put a cheap laminate floor down. This spreads the load across the floor better and is more practical for a kitchen area too.

I went for the cheap laminate because it was thin and light.

I've been underneath the van and taken measurements, the distance between the chassis is nearly 1.5 meters, I'm surprised there are no bracing supports, was thinking of adding a couple myself to take some of the stress out of the laminate.
