Hi all you caravan electricians.
Just returned from two weeks in North Yorkshire.
When attempting to disconnect mains electric lead from caravan (after disconnecting from mains board) the plug would not disengage with the socket, inside the battery compartment. After a long struggle with the connection I eventually did release it, just before I was going to cut through the cable at the plug (otherwise I wouldn't have been able to close the battery compartment door). After examining the plug and socket I noticed that one of the pins on the male side of the connection had a number of ridges down the length of the pin. I've never experienced anything like this in 35 years of caravanning.
I would welcome your comments of what caused this and how to prevent it happening again.
