Help needed.

I have an eldiss shamal which we have recently purchased so am a complete novice to this all. The hot water is not running but the cold water does. When i looked outside the caravan i could see a leak from the cascade 2 unit when the hot water tap was on. After opening the drain valve the water was gushing out. Does anyone know what this could be. From google perhaps it could be the non return valve?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi mine does this after its been sat empty for a while, I just remove the drain valve and carefully push a screwdriver in the hole to move the valve slightly.

Works for me anyway.

You may have a reset button where the heater is located and needs reset. You never exactly said where the leak was.Was it from the cowling itself? which in that case you need a new seal or..was the leak coming from the drain valve which has a rubber washer and this may need replacing.

You can get the drain valve washer from a caravan shop/dealer or ebay.If its the seal on the water heater itself this can be done if your good with your hands if not leave to the experts.

The non return valve if stuck will result in weak water flow..
