I always clean my caravan in two stages but not specifically on the same day. Firstly I use 'Fenwick's Caravan Cleaner' diluted with water and work it in the nooks and crannies, all along both awning rails, the front and rear trims, marker lights and roof light hinges with a 2 inch paint brush as this solution is ideal for shifting that green algae that builds up where polish can't reach. I clean the sides and back and then leave it to dry. However, it doesn't remove the film or black streaks so I clean the roof, skylights, windows, the GRP front and rear panels and caravan sides and door with Greased Lightning Showroom Shine which leaves the caravan with a sparkling shine and as smooth as a kid's slide.
At the end of the day we have our own choices of what products we prefer to use but the above works well for me on my 17 year old caravan.

Hi, I tried showroom shine on my caravan yesterday, I normally swear by the stuff for my cars, but it was a nightmare on the caravan. Just couldn't get it to come off properly, I was left with all smears etc. Not sure if this is because the caravan was sat in a field for 2 years before I bought it and was exposed to the elements and covered in lots of green moss?

Theres a clue here about how Showroom Shine didnt work

Thanks for that helpful insight. If you mean because the caravan has been sat then I'm not sure you are correct as the paintwork is in really good condition. I just wanted to bring more of a shine.

Me and hubby just been and cleaned our caravan for the first time with Showroom Shine, got to say I am very impressed. Only managed to do one side though because it started to rain. Will finish it off during the week. A thumbs up from me
