Hi guys, just bought our first van, it's an ABI marauder 450 Ctl. Total novice I am, couple of questions I need help with. Firstly the van has a sub pump going to water barrel and plugs in side of van, so filled barrel and put pump in and connected to van, when I tried kitchen tap it worked fine, then tried bathroom and no water, returned to try kitchen and no water. Might sound like a dummy here but do some caravans not have a leisure battery? Dealer told me that this van doesn't have one instead it has a converter and only runs off mains power. Also is there a fuse box somewhere, I can't seem to find one anywhere, under the left front seat there is an electric box with trip switches and there is also a black metal box which I was told is the converter. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Ok yea so is giving out 12v for the lights ;) u need to check and find the fuse because a seized pump will blow the fuse also under the seat where the water comes in check the pump wireing with a multimeter see if getting 12v wen u turn the taps the voyage will vary.

Hi thanks for the reply, quick update I have searched high and low for a fuse box with no luck. I tried the pump again this time I gave the spindle at the bottom a push and the pump whirred to life but unfortunately the water was not getting as far as the taps. At least I know power is going to the outlet so I think I'll buy a new sub pump and give it a go as I think this one is on its way out

Have you switched on the water pump on the main control panel? Its an inverter not a converter BTW. Good luck on learning all the little bits that have to be done in a particular order.

Hi Littleles, if you start your own thread with a suitable title you are far more likely to get a reply.

It may also help to say what fuses you have

The Marauder was a budget van in its day, and could be had with no frills - the idea was to make a new van price reachable for families, and that the owner could add equipment and services as funds allowed. So don't be surprised if things are missing that we take for granted today...
