my snakemaster was squeeking when turning corners, so I've stripped it down and cleaned all the dust of the leather pads, then re-assembled it. does any one know the correct pressure it should be re-tightened to.
Regards F. Ainsworth
The friction pads are not leather they are actually made from the same material as clutch and brake pad linings.
The pressure you are referring to is the 'torque setting' which you may be able to find if you contact the stabiliser manufacturer or other forums on the same topic.
Please remember that the pressure you require IS NOT A Torque setting but the pressure on the end of the stabilizer bar.
DO NOT on any account Torque the nuts on the adjuster.
I have the Bulldog 200Q and the pressure on the end of the bar on it is 27kg.
