Haich, dilute 4 parts water to 1 part PVA.
Mary 71a, if baton carries door hinges replace full batten, if lock side replacing rotted portion will suffice although replacing full batten will make a better and stronger repair. If you only replace plywood which is rotten cut panel back to centre of a batten or fit new batten behind the centre of the join. Fit battens using non slip adhesive, same with ply.
