Hi, I am new to this. My caravan has rot around the doorway, part of the baton down one side and some of the ply. My question is can I just replace the bit of the baton that is rotten (securing it to the good bits). And do I need to replace the whole of the ply on the wall to make it structurally sound of can I just replace the little bit that is rotten and somehow glue the ply to the baton and polystyrene? I hope that makes sense.

Haich, dilute 4 parts water to 1 part PVA.

Mary 71a, if baton carries door hinges replace full batten, if lock side replacing rotted portion will suffice although replacing full batten will make a better and stronger repair. If you only replace plywood which is rotten cut panel back to centre of a batten or fit new batten behind the centre of the join. Fit battens using non slip adhesive, same with ply.
