When I run the taps from the on board tank everything works perfectly but when I switch to receive the water from the external supply the taps spit & splutter, I have left taps open for long periods in the hope it would clear but it never does.
Hopefully some nice person on here can put me right on what I am doing wrong

Thanks in advanced.

If your sure all the air is out i would suspect the pump or where you plug it in may be drawing air.
Is where you plug the pump into seem to have a leak ?
Then i would renew the rubber washer/s on the end of the pump.

Jeff I assume the air is out because I left the tap running for a few minutes and it was still spluttering.
Another issue I have is when I run taps from onboard tank when you turn off tap pump runs for a moment then turns off, but when I run tap from external the pump runs for a few moments then runs at a low noise and wont stop.
I have checked for leaks internally and externally and there is none.

Thanks for your help.
Eddie.

Hi. I had exactly the same problem on my Ace.
There was a hairline cracking in the inlet socket just where the 2 'O' rings sit.
Had the socket replaced by the dealer for about £60 and problem solved.

You have no problem with the water line from the onboard tank, since it will build up sufficient pressure to activate the pressure switch which then turns off the onboard pump.

Spluttering is almost certainly due to air being drawn into the system, probably at the same place where pressure is being lost, since the the water line cannot build up pressure to turn the pump off, so causing it to run all the time.

Follow the exterior supply from the exterior pump and examine everything for splits and loose connections etc

Just one further thought, eddiela22, before you go searching.
Make sure that the inlet pipe that submerges in your Aquaroll doesn't curl up inside the tank and suck in air from the surface.
I have threaded mine through 18 inches or so of rigid plastic waste pipe so the filter stays at the bottom.

Dave I wrapped a 2" x 4" strip of lead around the bottom of the pipe a couple of years ago to always keep the pump inlet on the bottom of the Aquaroll.

Thanks again,
Eddie.
