hi all I've got a Abbey Sprectrum520 just gone out to the van and noticed front centre window is leaking . The window does not close correctly. The side catch is missing it connector ,looks like the window as moved over. Any ideas how to solve this . Thanks
Caravan windows are flexible and need all the catches to operate in order to make an effective seal.
Replace the catch and you will most probably solve the problem.
Catches will readily be available from your local dealer or on line.

You can check whether the window is actually sealing well by trapping a strip of paper between the closed window and rubber seal at various points, you then see if the paper is tight when pulled.

hi I've just had a closer look at the window catch . The catch itself is OK but the window appears double skinned. The lock is attached to the inner skin but looks as though the inner has separated from the outer skin along the catch. This is stopping the catch connecting properly.
The windows are double glazed acrylic. The double glazing is not a sealed unit though. You can glue separated halves back together with acrylic adhesive. This should do the job. Hold the window halves together with bulldog clips while glue is drying.
I've used glue to glue the window back together and it's stuck well however the catch is still out of line with lock it seems as if the window as moved over slightly. It's not leaking as far as I can see but that one catch on the side is not locking.
