We have the above heater and it seems to keep turning itself on.
It works properly when actually turned on, but when in the off position, the slider switch on top randomly lights up and the heater begins to run.
Has anybody had this problem or can offer us any advice please?

Very common problem and caused by the slide control and how it actually works.
Solution is to replace or repair, I might add, I've been repairing and upgrade them for 16yrs! actually done two today as it happens.
