I have just returned from a wonderful weekend away and discovered small patch of damp rot in floor, inside battery cupboard. I can see where it is getting in and can stop this with good old sikaflex. However, the wood above front o/side stabiliser is soft. Stabiliser still does its job, but would like to make good the soft ply, as a bit of play in floor when stabiliser is down. The patch of wood is no bigger than a mouse mat. Can i stiffen this with delamination resin or similar?
I believe splicing in new ply as I have previously done would be too difficult as Stabiliser and battery cupboard are top and bottom of the area.
Help.
