Have got a very damp caravan and am about to buy a dehumidifier. Has anyone got experience of use of one?
It's for an 18ft caravan and I need a timer on it to set it on a regular basis.
Do they work?
Anne
on a "very damp" caravan you are wasting your time buying anything unless you have stopped the leak, and even then at this time of year a dehumidifier is a lot of money to spend, when the air is mainly damp anyway, better off having the heating on in the caravan on low 24 hrs a day, and make sure the caravan vents are open to let the damp air out
Hi,
The Meaco 8 Litre is a very good unit,I have two and on the setting for drying clothes they are extremely effective.
I do agree that unless you find the problem you are wasting time and money.

Greg
If it is part of the repair process, ie you have resealed outside & removed some interior panelling then an electric dehumidifier will speed up the drying process otherwise there is no point.
Thanks everyone. Will just get an oilfilled heater to keep on low and help dry it out.
We think we have repaired all the leaks but who knows till it's put to the test!!
Cheers Anne
