Hi all, hope someone can offer some advise please. We have a coachman caravan and put the mains electrics on ready for going away and getting the fridge etc ready . When I did this the power seems to be varying and the lights flickering. The mains box is making a clicking noise. I checked the electric connections from the house to the van etc and all good. It's not tripped out but am concerned and don't know the answer, any ideas or help would be appreciated please.
I would start by purchasing a mains socket tester and plugging it in to see if it detects a fault. They are relatively cheap and several on the market and always handy to keep one in the caravan toolbox.

How did you check the cable? My immediate suspicion would be the hook-up cable you're using, either poor connections within one of the plugs or cable damage (which isn't always evident).
Do you have another to check with?

Thx for replies, all sockets worked ok when on mains power. I turned to 12v and all worked fine and no clicking on mains box. I then turned back on, tried turning 1 of the isolation switches off on box and it stopped, this switch seems to be linked for the water heater.
