I am in the process of changing the pneumatic jockey wheel for a non inflatable hard type because it's too difficult to access the valve without removing the wheel. However, after removing the pneumatic jockey wheel from the mounting flanges (where the centre spindle goes through) I found it is out of shape and rusted at both ends so have decided to replace the spindle too.
To purchase just the 20mm. diameter centre spindle seems a tough challenge as I have visited 3 caravan accessory shops today and looked online but the ones they supply are too short at about 90mm. but the spindle removed from my jockey wheel is 114mm. long (100mm. between the spindle flanges and cotter pin hole) and can't seem to get one anywhere.
What puzzles me is the amount of caravans manufactured, each and every one with a standard jockey width to which spares are available but not the correct size centre spindle.
It would be gratefully appreciated if anyone knows of a stockist in the UK whereby I could obtain one.
The spindle looks identical to the one shown in the link but only 94mm. long.

Well, no reply whatsoever from Trailertek.com regarding my query so gave them a ring and spoke to the receptionist. She said that they will eventually reply but to me that's not good business so decided to abort from buying from them on and ordered a spindle 110mm. long from Abergavenny Caravans on Ebay. Fingers crossed it should be the right one but anyway, thanks Big Roy for your help. Much appreciated.

your spindle is longer because the gap in the forks is wider to compensate for the wider pneumatic tyre. if you replace with solid wheel/tyre you will require one of same width in way of hub were spindle passes through, or fit packing tubes or washers between forks to stop wheel moving from side to side on spindle.

When I had a pneumatic tyre on my jockey wheel I drilled the split pin hole out slightly and replaced it with an "R" clip. I also found it hard to access the valve so this made it easier to slip the wheel off and pump it up when needed.
Just a thought, if the pneumatic wheel was fitted to a jockey wheel which was originally designed for a solid tyre, the mounting flanges may have been prized open slightly to take the pneumatic tyre which are a bit wider than the solid wheels.

I already have a new Maypole solid tyre wheel ready to exchange for the pneumatic tyre and have checked the hub length dimension which the solid tyre wheel is only 2 mm. less so I know that the flanges haven't been distorted to accommodate the pneumatic wheel and tyre. That's the reason why I ordered that specific size as some solid wheels have a 22mm. bore hole so I did all the necessary checks before hand. I just couldn't believe that the longer wheel spindle was so difficult to obtain.

I have just swapped from solid to pneumatic. Went to dealer for a new wheel and it was £24. The full jockey assembly cost me £20. They didn't understand why so I changed the lot.

Just an update to confirm that the new jockey wheel spindle arrived today from Abergavenny Caravans and glad to say it's the right one so just a matter of fitting the new wheel with hard tyre.
I never did have a reply e-mail from Trailertek.com but when I seen the spindle on Ebay it looked identical to the one shown with Traliertek so I took a chance and bought it which I am glad I did. It may have only been a small purchase but I wouldn't bother to deal with them for trailer parts in the future.
Finally, thanks to everyone above who posted offering assistance to find the part I needed.

you can buy (ebay) very cheaply valve extenders.. they screw on in place of the dust cap..
i have one fitted to my blow up wheel.. they come in various angles and lengths to suit any situation..
