Hi all we have an eterniti genisis ib4 with the alde 3010 system problem is 1st thing in the morning we have hot water well a bowl full then nothing even with the boost it don't get hot but then as the day goes on it warms up there is no problem with the heating we are using electric not gas it is season pitched and it was fine until last week when we moved pitches has anybody got any ideas what would cause this thanks alan.
Sticky non return valve on the cold water feed to the Alde?
ie. No cold getting in to push the hot out.
I would first try dumping the boiler's hot water and refilling the boiler, and see if that clears anything. [Note the fresh water in the boiler, not the antifreeze]
As the hot water jackets the antifreeze cylinder any in there must get hot from the hot antifreeze; so you are either not pushing out what hot water there is or there is no water in there.
I am assuming the space heating is working? Otherwise you have a different underlying issue, not a hot water issue. There is about 8 litres of hot water, if boiler is properly filled.
Thanks for the reply I have drained the taps and the tank then this morning again once the hot water had gone it was cold again there is no issues with the space heating that's working fine I just don't understand it we have a direct water feed to the caravan so water getting there is no issue either.
When the hot has gone then that is it, the Alde boiler is not an instantaneous boiler.
There is only about 8 litres capacity, use that up then the cold will come through.
On electricity, you can have, 1 , 2 or on some 3 kws of heat input; even the 3 will not warm the flowing water up much. On gas there is about 5 kWs heat input so better, but you can run both gas and electricity so can in the case of a 3 kw unit be putting 8 kws of heat into the water.
Is this your issue you are not being realistic in your expectation, for the heat input and stored volume of water? These units don't replicate the performance of the better domestic boilers in this regard.
Thanks on my control panel the amp is switched off I have the option to change that would this make a difference before we moved the van there was hot water in the morning but now there's not could there be anything gone wrong in moving the van
I can't see anything that relates moving the van to not getting hot water, and I am more confused in that the space heating is working. If the space heating fluid is getting hot then so must any water in the cylinder that surrounds that fluid.
If I understand you right re the "amp" switch, that is only effective if your installation has the power monitoring option, that ensure the boiler does not overload the EHU.
You say you are using electricity only, in the icon rectangle to the right of the little flame icon, what is the number? This indicates how many kW EHU power the boiler is set to use. 1, 2 or 3. If it is 1 then things will inevitably be very slow warming up.
Hi if it helps we have just had about 3 litres of hot water then cold again it's as if it's not heating the full tank before we used to fill the bowl in the sink then have a shower would it help to reset the boiler like I said the heating is working fine
