The caravan I have just got has a receiver behind the wheel for the Alko Secure wheel lock, there was a silver coloured sticker on the receiver with some numbers on and this sticker was covering the threaded hole of the receiver. I have purchased a new to me lozenge with the necessary fittings in a box and it is the correct one for my van. I tried to fit it today but when I peeled of the silver sticker I could see that there was already the special bolt screwed into the receiver, does anyone have any idea how I can remove this bolt so I can fit my lock Please

hi - i too have one of these but can't think what bolt you mean - if it was in there then your wheel wouldn't turn due to the bolt protuding. Only thing i can think of is if its the plastic dust cap that screws into the receiver when the bolt isn't in place. If so then you should just be able to unscrew it. On mine the cap is yellow. Apologies if this isn't the case and i'm misunderstanding - perhaps some pictures might help and/or the number of your lock as there are many variations based on the wheel construction.

Its not a dust cap its defiantly the threaded bolt it is inside the receiver and dosent protrude to stop the wheel turning it is completely inside and it had the silver sticker covering the hole I assume the sticker has been there from new, without the dedicated adaptor I cant unscrew the bolt so I need to find another way

This, I think, is a plug fitted by Al-Ko so that the receiving socket can only be used for their own products.
You will need to contact Al-Ko to obtain a removal key.

DaveS1 is correct, they were fitted for a while to prevent their competitors utilising the Alko receiver. There should be a reference number on the foil seal. Alko can supply the relevant adaptor to permanently remove the blanking plug.

Thanks everyone ive been in touch with alko today and you are all correct. Its still not that easy to do though I have had to get my dealer to contact them with proof of my ownership, then alko emailed me to confirm my caravan details and my address etc and now they say they want a photo sent of the retaining screw on my caravan before they will send me the removal tool. Even after all this they say I shouldn't use the lock or the security bolt I have got as I have no registration for them.
I have learnt a lesson with this, its not worth buying a used one of these locks unless you have the registration card, but thankyou to all those who helped

They need the photo so they know which tool to send,the blanking plugs are different.(Unless you have the reference no for it).

It's a question of security, they just want proof that you are who you say you are and that's no bad thing in the long run.

The registration of ownership is the more important thing, that prevents any Tom, Dick or Harry blagging replacement keys and nicking your van. You will also notice that unlike most of that type of key there is no number stamped on it, you can only get a replacement via Alko and only when the security checks out.
