I have a 2003 Swift Archway (Challenger) with a Truma S3002 & Ultraheat.
We have been away this weekend over the new year and as the temperature was a little challenging had the electric blown air heating on continuously.
All was well until Monday when suddenly the system started blowing cold air through the vents.
We switched off the power for an hour and tried again, still no joy.
No heat was coming out of the top of the fire with the fan off or from the vents with the fan running.
The green light next to the temperature dial is illuminated and the fan runs fine.
Have tried it at home with the hook-up plugged into the mains and same problem.
Please can anyone advise on how to get this fixed.
Hi, the fan runs off the 12v supply and is seperate to the heating elements which are 240 volt. Have you checked the fuse in the switch spur for the heating ( if you have one) or possibly the trip switch, RCD or MCB for that circuit on your main power panel?
Thanks for the quick response. Both the fuse on the spur and the RCD are fine. I have a feeling after reading lots of posts that it's possibly the PCB or relays but don't know how to check this or even if you can without removing the complete fire. What I didn't add to my first post is that the heating elements don't heat up no matter what setting the heater is set to (500, 1000 or 2000 watt).
Sorry, I can't help beyond the basics really. I fitted one as a replacement for my obsolete Carver fire recently and did the electrical work myself as it was a fairly straight swap. All the electric fittings are on the back of the case so not easy to get at once installed. The whole case is only held in place by a few screws at the front but won't come out without removing the gas heater, flue connection and warm air pipes behind. Then you need a gas fitter to reinstall. Let me know how you get on.
Seeing as I've been mentioned, its January so I'm not around to help much until 5th of feb folks.

Just to close this.
As I needed to use the van soon and I had a reluctance to get involved in taking the gas fire out I got a mobile engineer out to sort it (I had used him before for servicing). He diagnosed the temperature sensor, replacing both of them, nothing wrong with the PCB. So now have a nice warm van again, total cost for call out, parts and labour £65, bargain in my mind.
