Hi my carver motormover when not engaged will go left , right , but not forward or reverse do I have to engage it for this to work

Sorry but I don't really understand what you are trying to do!
By 'engaged' I assume you mean that the motor rollers are in contact with the tyres.
If the unit is not 'engaged' then the caravan should not move at all. (You say it moves left and right).
Could you please clarify exactly what is happening?

Same as above and if they are engaged is the issue when the 2 motors are trying to turn at the same time?

That would indicate a weak battery to me.

Sorry to confuse when the rollers are NOT touching the tyres I press the button on the remote for the left roller the roller turns if I press the button for the right roller that one turns , but if I press the button for forward or reverse the rollers don't turn ,I was just testing the mover as the van as been stood for a while the battery is fully charged
