I know this has been covered before but thought I would post my experience. Tried to remove a window plug and somehow managed to push it inside the window between the bonded abs sheets. After a frustrating time trying to suck it back out with plastic tubing, I decided to bite the bullet and take the window out. It seems a bit drastic but all it entailed was removing the stay screws in the van an lifting the window almost vertical. The window can then be lifted off and placed on a flat protected surface. It took about 30 mins in total jiggling the window to get the plug below the hole and allow it to be pulled out using long nose tweezers to puncture the body of the bung enough to get enough of it through the hole to be gripped with either small nose pliers or in my case hooked out with a tool similar to a crochet hook. My van is a 2010 Lunar quasar. This is a 2 man job taking out the window as you don't want to risk dropping it but easy to take out and put back if you are not too DIY savvy. Hope this helps other caravanners.

Thanks, it is always good to share DIY, and make peole aware of the consequences of fiddling with a window plug.

Because I am an idiot 😄. I have been a caravanner for over 40 years. One of the front windows on the van misted up for some reason. This happens sometimes when the van is in direct sunlight but this time just to one window. I must have had a senior moment or just a bout of boredom as I decided to take the plug out to see if it cleared. Won't be doing it again, hence the warning to others😊 must get some more happy pills. Probably first outing excitement 😄

Been there and done that, quit a few things I've started and wish I hadn't
