any clues as to truma ultrastore water heater faults when. mains switch is made. rcb trips no power on light worked fine last time out nothing in. fault finding guide in instructions

how do you disconnect element? no. dc power available apparently though aux switch is on

Sounds like the heater element is short circuiting. Need to check with a multimeter.

The element might be wired into a strip of connectors or it might have 6mm spade connectors on it you could pull off. You'll need to disconnect live and neutral from it to test for an earth fault.
